August SUP Newsletter

2009 July’s Activity: Bright and early on the morning of July 24th, a group of SUP IMG_6394members gathered at the American Legion Hall  IMG_6327 to gather tables an d chairs and a television. It was still dark as we set these up at the city park in preparation for the Pioneer Day breakfast we were going to serve. Pancake batter was stirred, sausage was warmed that had been cooked the night before, and batter was poured onto the grills. It was interesting to see the pattern of activity. There were several periods of rush, rush, rush, then short periods where there was a lull, then back to work. All in all, the morning was a great success! Many were fed, and the morning activities went well. We also had a television set up to show a short video of some of the treks that we have been on with the SUP during the past two years.IMG_6399
